Additional Information Purpose

Design, develop, and maintain solutions and enhancements for the public website of the McCombs School of Business and the CMS platform that supports it. Plan and supervise the work of other developers in the CMS platform.

Essential Functions

Develop and maintain solutions and enhancements to the SiteCore CMS to meet the needs of McCombs constituents. Manage the codebase and implement/maintain automated build system and integration with source control and test driven development. Break down project scopes into story points/hours and define sprints. Write organized code to industry standard coding practices and guidelines. Plan, oversee, and review the work of other developers in developing applications, modifications, and enhancements to the Sitecore CMS and other McCombs websites; maintain performance and security standards compliance. Consult with customers, web team members, developers, and others in the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of websites, services, and applications to ensure projects are successful and sustainable, and in keeping with the goals and standards of the college. Design and implement methods to integrate internal and external applications with third-party systems, services, and data sources to McCombs applications and websites Oversee the deployment process; assist with creating documentation around processes including deployments, solution audits, data and content migrations, and systems integrations.

Required qualifications

Meticulous attention to detail. 4+ years developing on Microsoft platforms (IIS on Windows) using Visual Studio, C Sharp, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap. 3+ years of experience with CMS platform development in Sitecore, Ektron, Drupal, WordPress, etc. Strong problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot code. Experience developing responsive design. Experience with source-control systems. Experience leading and mentoring other developers. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to analyze, test, and debug complex code. Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively. Demonstrated success working effectively with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Willingness to work on emerging technologies as needed. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of developing on Microsoft platforms (IIS on Windows) using Visual Studio, C Sharp, HTML5, CSS3/LESS, AJAX, JavaScript/TypeScript, jQuery, Bootstrap. 5+ years of experience with CMS platform development in Sitecore, Ektron, Drupal, Wordpress, etc. 1+ year experience with Sitecore. Experience integrating Sitecore CMS with Salesforce. Experience with REST/Web APIs. Experience with agile development and project practices. Understanding of Windows Server and IIS setup and configuration.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas ( TRS ), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
