Position Summary

Manages a campus-wide comprehensive extra and co-curricular student program. Position serves to foster the educational process outside the academic classroom through collaboration with college faculty and staff. These activities include student clubs, organizations, and campus events. Oversees service-oriented operations including those necessary to enhance student participation, good citizenship, success, and retention. Manages the college-wide student activities budget.

Job Functions

1. Leads, designs, and manages student program activities to include interacting daily with faculty, staff and students. Hires, trains and supervises staff.
2. Promotes and monitors student involvement, trains and advises faculty advisors and student leaders.
3. Works collaboratively with College Relations in coordinating and evaluating methods of marketing student programs, events, and activities.
4. Regularly assesses and analyzes student needs, interests, and events for developing programs, policies, goals, objectives, and plans for reports and evaluations.
5. Develops and coordinates campus life activities for day and evening students.
6. Supports the chair of the Student Activity Fee Advisory Committee with coordinating and administering the student activity fee hearing process and developing the budget.
7. Provides representation for the college at outreach/recruitment events and activities.
8. Develops, coordinates, recruits, and provides oversight and leadership for various campus programs and activities.
9. Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  •  Bachelor's degree or higher
  •  At least 4 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  •  Specialization in field

  •  Ability to meet specific deadlines on a daily basis
  •  Ability to respond to emergency calls as needed
  •  Excellent written and communication skills
  •  Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
  •  Ability to work in a diverse college setting.
  •  Intermediate skills in computer and database applications

Salary

Hiring Salary is $46,701.

Work Schedule & Conditions

PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment.

Internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position.

Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards.
